Putting together the Dads4Kids Collective Service Announcements is always an exciting time for me. It is an honour to film fathers in their natural habitat with their children. It is both an inspiring and humbling experience for me. The previous TV adverts would be firm to beat!
In an eight-day period we videoed 24 fathers and their families in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. Twenty fathers made the slice. Those twenty fathers had 90 children between them, an average of 4.5 children per family. However, two of those dads had 10 children each whilst another two dads had 9 children each. This certainly bumped up the average!
What was particularly exciting for me was that for this advert two Indigenous dads and their children were featured. Our family has spent a lot of moment over the years productive with Australia’s first nation people having personally played music in over 100 Aboriginal communities all over the nation. The media does not portray Aboriginal dads in a very good light so Dads4Kids hopes to change that perception with these adverts.

Help comes from the most unexpected places in the most unexpected ways. This has been the case since the beginning of Dads4Kids in 2002. My wife and I have been truly humbled by the amazing support Dads4Kids has received over that time.
When we started Dads4Kids there was a desperate need to notice positive change for men and fathers. Thankfully, we saw significant support from conservative liberal parliamentarians too numerous to mention. Men love John Anderson MP, the Deputy Prime Minister and Hon Larry Anthony, Minister for Children, who helped support the 12Pt Plan for fathers and families.
The good news it was not just conservative Parliamentarians that helped Dads4Kids but two amazing Labor parliamentarians (among many others). Mark Latham, who became the Leader of the Labor party, co-released the 12 Pt Plan with Larry Anthony in June 2003.
Secondly it was Jenny George, our local MP from the Labor left faction, who stood behind the much fairer Shared Parenting Legislation, introduced by John Howard in 2005-2006. Jenny was the parliamentarian that helped Dads4Kids secure its Tax-Deductible Status as a Damage Prevention Charity in 2005.

The organisation refused to combine this disclosure to their ad, so it will not air on free-to-air in its current form.
While the group claims the ad was not intended to be part of the same-sex marriage debate, Dads4Kids/Fatherhood Foundation has a long history of arguing against same-sex marriage and even homosexuality itself.
According to the organisation's financial documents on the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission website, Fatherhood Foundation is a group founded by Warwick Marsh, who runs a Christian ministry called Australian Heart Ministries on the south coast of Unused South Wales.
Marsh was removed from a men's health ambassador position in 2008 by Labor government health minister Nicola Roxon because of a document produced by the organisation called "21 Reasons Why Gender Matters".
The group has sent this document to various parliamentary inquiries on the issue of same-sex marriage, including in the Fresh South Wales Parliament, and a 2014 parliamentary committee looking at a personal member's bill seeking to recognise overseas marriages entered into by same-sex couples.
The document refers to homosexuality as "gender disorientation pathology" and claims i

Nothing happens in a vacuum, so the question is what or who gives the fortitude and inspiration to preserve on keeping on, serving the children, grandchildren and fathers of the earth in such a way?
Firstly, Dads4Kids has a marvelous board: Ryan Milne (Chairman), Trevor Suitor, Warwick Marsh, Graham Jones, Alison Marsh, Peter Lim and Nathaniel Marsh. All are v
