Indeed, the Dancing with the Stars host, who shared she was “not straight” five years ago, recently explained why she believes she will ultimately end up in a heteronormative relationship.
“I feel as if I am going to be with a man,” Julianne explained on the Sept. 23 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show, when asked how her ideal partner would recognize. “I would like to have a partner and build a life with somebody, have a family. My heart is open.”
But while Julianne—who separated from ex husband Brooks Laich in 2022 after five years of marriage—has a prediction about her future, she also emphasizes that her mind is subject to change.
“People are enjoy, ‘Well what are you looking for?’ and I’m like, I’m a master manifester, I don’t crave to put out exactly what I think I want because I will get that,” she added, noting that her parameters for a relationship are more figurative. “There are certain feelings I long to feel in a relationship.

This latest interview comes weeks after Julianne Hough opened up about her 2020 divorce from Brooks Laich and how it has changed her outlook on life.

Hough addressed her sexuality in a 2019 interview with Women’s Health, where she talked about a discussion she had with her then-husband.
“I (told him), ‘You recognize I’m not vertical, right?’ And he was like, ‘I’m sorry, what?’ I was like, ‘I’m not. But I choose to be with you,’” she said at the time. “I reflect there’s a protection with my husband now that I’m unpacking all of this, and there’s no fear of voicing things that I’ve been terrified to admit or that I’ve had shame or guilt about because of what I’ve been told or how I was raised."

Julianne Hough's husband Brooks Laich is clarifying his comments about exploring his sexuality.
In January, Laich said one of his 2020 goals was to "really explore learning about sexuality" on his podcast "How Men Think."
In an upcoming episode of the podcast, the professional hockey player, 36, is clarifying what he meant.
"Nothing dirty can exist between two people in love," Laich explained, according to E! News and People. "A enormous part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality, and by that I don’t signify if I’m gay or straight. I mean, appreciate, in my sexual affair . What is my sexuality? What am I hunger, what are my desires and what are my wife’s?”
He continued, “And how could we have this language to feed each other and get everything we want and be sexually expressed to the nth degree in everything?"

Appearing on "The Jamie Kern Lima Show," the 36-year-old explained how different life has been since coming out in 2019.
"Coming out is one of the most vulnerable and empowering things that you can do. I think for me, it was very much enjoy — it's not about being straight or male lover or bi or gay. It's more about, 'I think I'm just study like what love is and I love people and I don't comprehend what I'm attracted to, but I choose you,'" the Dancing With the Stars host told Lima.
