Carries gay friend in sex and the city
Actor Willie Garson, who played Stanford Blatch in "Sex and the City" and Mozzie in "White Collar," has died, according to an HBO spokesperson. He was 57 years old.
"Willie Garson was in being, as on screen, a devoted friend and a bright light for everyone in his universe," an HBO spokesperson said in a statement to CBS News. "He created one of the most beloved characters from the HBO pantheon and was a member of our family for nearly twenty-five years. We are deeply depressed to learn of his passing and extend our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones."
A cause of death has not been released.
"I cherish you so much papa," his son Nathen wrote on Instagram Tuesday evening. "Rest In Peace and I'm so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much. I'm so proud of you."
"I will always love you, but I think it's time for you to go on an adventure of your own," Nathen added. "You'll always be with me. Love you more than you will ever know and I'm glad you can be at peace now. You always were the toughest and funniest and smartest person I've known. I'm glad you shared you're love with me. I'll never forget it or lose it."

A Tribute to Sex and the City's Stanford Blatch, Carrie's Underrated BFF
"Sex and the City" Actor Willie Garson Dead at 57
Friendships never go out of style.
In the Sex and the City universe, that was especially true for Stanford Blatch, the man who was always there for Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) in a New York minute.
Though Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda took center stage throughout the series, Stanford was its beating heart. The BFF superstar of Sex and the City—played by Willie Garson, who died in September—was more than just a side ethics. He represented what every unattached girl wishes for in life: a bestie to be there in the bad times and good.
Remember when Carrie fell on the runway in front of everyone and was utterly humiliated? Stannie knew that the best thing to act was lighten the mood, calling her "fashion roadkill" as Heidi Klum walked over her. Good friends undertake keep you humble, but they also get on their feet and clap you on as you get back up and finish that turn on the catwalk.
A true best ally will also be bit insecure if they ever sense that he might be replaced. That was the case in season four
And Just Like That just solved its Stanford problem. I hated every minute of it.
Ever since the death of Willie Garson, Sex and the City fans have been wondering how And Just Like That will handle the fate of long-running ethics and Carrie Bradshaw's best friend, Stanford Blatch.
The actor died from pancreatic cancer in September 2021 while filming season one of And Just Like That.
Garson appeared in a handful of scenes before being written out of the series in episode four: he suddenly left his husband Anthony to operate a TikTok luminary in Japan.
I'll tell it: this was rather odd, which is saying something for a rebooted series shaped by odd choices.
The nature was left hanging in the atmosphere ever since, but now in a recent And Just Favor That episode, Stanford's story has approach to a close.
In a scene between Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Anthony (Mario Cantone), it's revealed that Stanford "had a giant, ugly fight with his TikTok client — she fired him," Carrie says.
"He wandered around Kyoto for days crying, he eventually create his way into a temple."
Carrie then tells Anthony that Stanford has decided to stay in Japan inde
